SWAY IN: BROCK LESNAR TO RETIRE FROM UFC

This past Friday Brock Lesnar made his return to the octagon, against similar build striker Alistair Overeem. It was said that Overeem was clearly the better standing fighter, but Brock was determined to stand with him. Brock was the more active of the two from the gate, while it seemed Overeem was just waiting for solid openings to strike. And that he did, Overeem closed the distance between the two and grabbed Brock in a Muay Thai clinch. From there he began sending knees to Lesnar's midsection. It was clear that said knees were taking there toll on Brock. The two seperated after another clinch Overeem then sent a devastating left kick to Lesnar's torso, causing him to immediately take a knee. Alistair then proceeded to punch the down Lesnar for the win by stoppage. Following the fight Lesnar declared his retirement due to family and the health issues he as had lately. Lesnar ends his UFC career at 5 - 3.
